How to reorder for a parent

The empty package is the reorder record: brand, size word, waist range if it is printed, count, and whether the product is a pad, a guard, a pull-on, or a tab brief.

An adult child placing the order can photograph that package before it goes in the trash. The photo beats a text that says “the usual ones.” Usual is how a cart ends up with a different waist range and a different count, delivered to a parent who then has a case that does not match the last one. Shoppers in the United States can do this on a phone. You do not need to be in the house if the photo is already in the thread.

Read the size line, then the count

Size words collide across brands. Depend Fresh Protection Adult Diapers for Women, XL, 26 count, states an extra-large waist of 45-54 inches. The recorded price was $23.48. Amazon showed that recorded price when the article was written. Depend Night Defense Adult Diapers for Women, Large, 14 count, is a different listing: an overnight pull-on in size large for a 38-44 inch waist. The recorded price was $15.88. Amazon showed that recorded price when the article was written. Same brand, and “large” here is not the XL range above. Check the Amazon listing before buying; its price, count, and size may have changed since this article was written.

Prevail Daily Protective Underwear, unisex, maximum absorbency, Large, 64 count in four packs of 16, lists Large for waist sizes 44 to 58 inches. The page also mentions breathable zones and aloe, and says the briefs are for day or overnight. The recorded price was $53.67. Amazon showed that recorded price when the article was written. A parent who wore Depend women’s XL at 45-54 inches is not automatically a Prevail Large, even though 44 to 58 inches overlaps that range. The cut is unisex, the count is 64, and the pack is four inner packs of 16. Those are three separate lines on the listing. Copy the one that matches the empty package. If the empty package is Prevail, reorder Prevail in that printed size. If it is Depend XL, reorder that waist.

LivDry EnduraDry Max with tabs, medium, 16-pack, is a tab-style brief. The bullets call the cloth latex-free and breathable. The recorded price was $42.99. Amazon showed that recorded price when the article was written. If the empty package is a pull-on with no tabs, this medium 16-pack is a different format. A similar pack price is not a reason to switch formats on a reorder.

Hand off the order with the photo still attached

Send the person who pays the photo, the exact title, and the count. Amazon Basics Postpartum Incontinence Underwear for Women, maximum absorbency, XL, 15 count, is a store-brand pull-on. The bullets also list occasional urinary incontinence. The recorded price was $17.66. Amazon showed that recorded price when the article was written. The pack price is lower than the Depend XL 26-count at $23.48, and the count is 15. The title also says postpartum. Put those three differences in the message to whoever pays, next to the photo of the empty package.

Ask where the box should arrive. A parent’s door, your door, or a neighbor’s porch are different orders once a case is heavy. If you are the person who will open it, check the size line against the photo before the box is broken down. A wrong size is easier to return while the shipping label still exists.
