Adhesive Pads for Regular Underwear

An older woman lays a folded white cloth on top of gray underwear on a bed.

Cloth underwear can stay in the drawer when the pad sticks inside it. The refill is that pad. A pull-on brief is a different purchase. It takes the place of underwear during the hours it is worn. Shoppers about 55 to 80, and adult children who keep the closet stocked, mix the two when both listings say leak protection.

This is a shopping comparison. It does not diagnose a condition or recommend a treatment.

A stick-on guard with a recorded price

The adhesive product in the notes from when the article was written is a men’s guard, not a long bladder pad. Prevail Daily Male Guards, 12-1/2 in, 14 ct is cup-shaped, with an adhesive back. The note says the page contrasts it with full briefs, and that the guard is compact enough for a gym bag, a desk drawer, or a travel kit. Amazon showed that recorded price of $37.99 when the article was written. You place it in briefs or similar close underwear, and you reorder the guard when the 14-count runs out. You do not reorder a new waist size unless the cloth underwear itself changed. Check the Amazon listing before buying; its price, count, and size may have changed since this article was written.

Two larger men’s cases were priced the same check, and their notes do not say adhesive. Depend Guards for Men, Maximum, 104 Count (2 Packs of 52) is cup-shaped, for large leaks, each guard in a pocket-sized pouch for carrying in briefs or boxer briefs. Amazon showed that recorded price of $33.99 when the article was written. The pouch tells you it is meant to travel with underwear. It does not tell you the back is sticky. TENA Men Maximum Guards, 48 ct is a male pad kept separate from a full brief. Amazon showed that recorded price of $15.97 when the article was written. If the household needs the adhesive back, the Prevail listing is the one that says so. The other two are men’s guards with different counts.

Longer bladder pads in the same notes, a 14.3 inch Poise pad and a 13 inch Prevail pad, do not have an adhesive line in the saved description. Do not assume a bladder pad sticks because a men’s guard did. If the empty pack has a sticky strip, say adhesive on the reorder. If you cannot see the back, do not add the word.

Pull-on listings ask for a waist size

Depend Fresh Protection Adult Diapers for Women, XL, 26 Count is pull-on underwear. The listing gives an extra-large waist of 45 to 54 inches. Amazon showed that recorded price of $23.48 when the article was written. That buy replaces cloth underwear for the time it is worn. The number it asks for is a waist. Ordering it when the note said “adhesive pads for the briefs in the drawer” changes the format.

Prevail Daily Protective Underwear, unisex, Maximum, Large, 64 Count is another pull-on, labeled for men and women. Large on that page is a waist of 44 to 58 inches, and the note says the brief is sold for day or overnight. Amazon showed that recorded price of $53.67 when the article was written. Sixty-four pull-ons are a different supply math from fourteen adhesive guards. Compare them only after you know which format is in the drawer.

For a pad that stays in cloth underwear, keep the adhesive word, the length if you have it, and a count that matches use. Pads, underwear, and briefs: which format to buy lays out that format choice. Guards for men and unisex pads stays with guards. Wrapped versus loose packaging is Individually Wrapped Pads and Bulk Pads. A thinner liner versus a light pad is Bladder Liners and Light Pads, which is a thickness choice inside pads, not a switch to pull-ons.
